These pollutants remain on the chair surface for a long time, causing surface damage such as black spots, fading, and cracks, and even causing the inner sponge to become moldy and produce odor.
Especially for PU and PVC materials, although their surfaces are wear-resistant, they are essentially synthetic coatings. Frequent wiping with a wet towel without water control or alcohol-based cleaners may cause the coating surface to peel off. Therefore, it is recommended to use a slightly damp sponge with neutral soap when cleaning, and wipe it once a week to avoid water stains. At the same time, strong friction or metal cleaning tools should be avoided to avoid scratching the material.For fabric gaming chairs, you should use a vacuum cleaner to clean the hair and dust in the fabric gaps, and regularly use fabric sterilizing spray to sterilize and remove mites.
Check screw tightening
When the gaming chair adjusts the backrest, rotates, or lifts, it will transmit force to the bracket structure and connecting parts. The most common connection method is screws and nuts. Once the screws are loose, it will not only cause the chair to make abnormal noises and shake, but may even cause safety risks due to unstable loads.
For example, if the screws at the armrest become loose due to long-term use, when the user tries to rely on the armrest to support the arm or body during the game, the armrest may suddenly sink or shake, causing the body's center of gravity to become unstable and affecting operation accuracy. If the screws at the connection between the backrest and the chair seat are loose, and the user leans back to rest significantly or suddenly leans back, the chair back may not be able to withstand the pressure and may tilt momentarily. In severe cases, the person may fall from the chair, causing a risk of back impact or head injury.
Therefore, it is recommended to use a hexagonal or Phillips screwdriver to check commonly used parts every 3 months, especially the base, chair back connection points, armrest support rods, etc. If looseness is found, tighten it immediately. Users who have the conditions can also add a small amount of thread glue to the screws to enhance the stability.This maintenance habit can effectively avoid structural fatigue caused by accumulated vibration and maintain the stability and safety of the gaming chair under high-intensity use.
The core reason why a gaming chair can lie back and forth, adjust up and down, and rotate and slide lies in the air pressure rod, rotation bearing and spring components in its metal structure. These metal structures are prone to accumulation of dust or dryness and oxidation during high-frequency use, resulting in slow movements, jamming, and even harsh noises, seriously affecting the user experience.
It is recommended to use silicone lubricant or WD-40 every 6 months to lubricate the bottom rotating bracket, lift air rod connection, backrest spring adjuster and other parts. Before operation, use a dry cloth to wipe away old grease and dust particles. After spraying, adjust the angle several times to help the lubricant penetrate into the axis. Be careful not to use too much grease, otherwise it will easily absorb dust and cause it to become "dirtier with more use".

Avoid Overloading
The gas pressure rods and brackets of gaming chairs have clear maximum load-bearing designs, usually between 120kg and 150kg. This design standard is a safety range based on vertical force testing and does not include impact forces or special scenarios such as multi-person use.
However, in reality, common misuses include "jumping on the chair", "sitting with two people at the same time" or "only using the armrests to support the body".
